LMRA only processes work permits for expatriate employees and their dependants as a one-stop service.

All other types of visas (visit visa, student or business visas, property owners, and special visa schemes for retirement or investment in the Kingdom of Bahrain, visas for residents of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia who rent or buy property in the Kingdom of Bahrain etc...) can be requested from Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA).
